An absorbing collection of short stories from Asia.
Filled with offbeat adventure, resplendent nature, exciting sport and
ancient folklore. Exploring the wonder of day-to-day life across many
nations and finding astonishment and surprise in the ordinary lives of
people everywhere. Where wisdom comes in large doses from the least expected
quarters and an excess of joy swells in places bereft of abundance, fortune
or pomp.
A single fine thread runs through the stories, one
of convivial candor, welcoming friendships and the struggle for survival
that is common to these lands. The joy of beginning each new day full
of cheer, hope and expectation even in eh face of continuous struggle.

»The
book is an absolute gem
I have found this book to be an absolute gem. It is like that old song, "It's a wonderful, wonderful world!" That is the strength of this book. ….. The writing is so evocative that one would want to be at all these places and meet all these people. |

| »A
window to the world 'Breakfast in China' is like a window to the world. The author takes you on a tour around the world and transports you from the Ganges to the Pearl River, from Surabaya to Atlanta, from the Purple Bamboo Park to Times Square. It is a celebration of nature and of life. It exudes 'le joi de vivre' and is truly enchanting. A 'must read' for all ages. |
